The Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, has named the final 23-man squad to face Namibia and DR Congo in the two upcoming international friendly games in September.
Broos initially announced the 32-man preliminary squad earlier this month in preparation to cut it down to the final 23-man squad to play in the two international friendlies against Namibia and DR Congo.
The Bafana head coach made five crucial changes from the squad that played against Morocco in June. The five changes include the absence of Bongokuhle Hlongwana, Cassius Mailula, Thapelo Maseko, Njabulo Blom, and Thapelo Morena, as well as the addition of Thabiso Monyane, Kabamelo Kodisang, Lebo Mothiba, Grant Margeman, and Lyle Foster to the Bafana camp. The goalkeepers remain unchanged.
Bafana Bafana will host Namibia on Saturday, September 9th, at 14:30 in Orlando Stadium, followed by DR Congo on Tuesday, September 12th, at 17:30.
Broos is looking to gear up and put the Bafana players on form, as Bafana will be beginning their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in November.
