Pirates to play Sundowns in the MTN8 final.

The Orlando Pirates proceeded into the final round of the MTN8 competition despite losing 1-0 to Steve Barker's side, Stellenbosch, in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final on Sunday afternoon at Orlando Stadium.

The Buccaneers progress into the final on an away-goal rule after winning 2-1 in the first encounter of the two-legged campaign at Athlone Stadium earlier this month.

Stellenbosch came into the game hoping to turn things around by playing away from home and scoring two goals in order to defeat pirates and proceed to the final.

The two Gauteng-based teams—the Pirates and Sundowns—will travel to Durban to play in the Moses Mabhida Stadium on October 7, 2023.
