The head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, Rulani Mokwena, didn't hold it back when he was asked by the press about the accusations made by the TS Galaxy boss during the Nedbank Cup pre-match press conference ahead of the last 32 clash between the TS Galaxy and Golden Arrows.
The TS Galaxy boss, Sead Ramovic, disclosed that he received an unpleasant phone call from Rulani, in which the Sundowns boss affronted him, as per Ramovic.
Rulani, responding to the accusations during the post-match press conference at Loftus Stadium on Tuesday after Sundowns 3–0 victory over Amazulu, said the Serbian-born coach is seeking attention.
"Guys, all he's crying for – I don't know why you guys can't hear the underlying message, it's like this [knocking], and all he's crying for is, he's won five games in a row, give him attention, give him praise, he wants attention – give it to him," he said.
"The guy is pleading, he's saying, 'I've won five games in a row, no one is talking.' Mahlatse [Mphahlele], put him on the headlines there. Why don't you do it, guys?
"No, he's won five games, he's told you. He's got eight assists from his left-back, he's told you. Guys, give him [attention]. Give him what he wants because, if you don't give him what he wants, he goes and seeks it," he added.
